Infield General Admission and Tailgate Space Guidelines

POLICIES, TIPS AND GUIDELINES

  • Entry gates open at 10AM and close at 1PM on race day – those needing to leave may do so between the races once the track is cleared, but there is NO re-entry allowed). All spectators must be off the grounds by 7PM.
  • Races run rain or shine – NO exchanges, credits or refunds. ALL SALES FINAL.
  • Plan accordingly for the weather on race day. Pack sunscreen and drink plenty of water on sunny hot days and pack umbrellas, rain coats and boots in case of showers.
  • Infield patrons should bring chairs for yourself and your guests.
  • Dress in your finest derby-day attire or come spring casual. Leave the stilettos at home and opt instead for comfy flats, sandals, loafers or you favorite sneakers.
  • Children 12 and under are free, but must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
  • NO pets allowed except for certified service dogs and GSA pre-approved groups.
  • Hang your Parking Pass from your rear view mirror, with the colored side facing the windshield – must have a parking pass to enter property.
  • Follow directional signs and instructions from parking attendants – park only in your assigned or designated space(s).
  • Must wear arm bands/badges/official credentials at all times and be prepared to show security and GSA officials/volunteers upon request.
  • Only GSA staff and volunteers, NSA officials and OTRs allowed on the Race Course, Tower,  OTR Tent, Jockey House, and Barns.
  • Must have proper credentials for access to VIP Parking, Private Party Tents and Sponsor Hill (upper terrace).
  • Utilize Uber (code: GASteeplechase) and Lyft – drop off and pick up ONLY in General Admission Parking.
  • Visible intoxication and disorderly conduct will not be tolerated and can result in ejection from the race grounds by security.
  • Place all trash in provided receptacles and leave your space as clean as you found it.
  • Avoid excessive alcohol consumption and assign a designated driver or use a ride-sharing service.
  • No glass containers with the exception of beer, wine and liquor bottles where allowed on the grounds – please utilize plastic when possible.
  • No loud music.
  • No solicitation or distribution of material other than approved material by GSA.
  • For your safety and the safety of the horses, spectators are NOT allowed to touch the horses at any time.
  • Pedestrian crossing of the race track is only allowed by GSA staff/security and only at marked areas.
  • Food and beverages will be available for purchase in the infield by sponsor vendors ONLY – MUST be 21 with a valid ID to purchase alcoholic beverages.
  • Read below for additional policies pertaining to your particular ticket.

POLICIES FOR GENERAL ADMISSION (INFIELD)

  • Hang your Parking Pass from your rear view mirror, with the colored side facing the windshield – must have a parking pass to enter property.
  • Must wear and be prepared to show arm bands/badges/official credentials at all times.
  • Parking allowed in designated General Admission Parking ONLY.
  • NO outside food or beverages, coolers, large bags, backpacks, tents, canopies, awnings, stand up or large umbrellas or large tables allowed.
  • NO pets allowed except certified service dogs and GSA approved groups.
  • Children 12 and under are free, but must be accompanied by adult.
  • General Admission ticket holders can bring chairs, small tables, personal umbrellas, blankets and lawn games.
  • Access to General Admission area and ALL infield activities and food and drink vendors.
  • NO access to Private Tent Parties, Subscriber Homestretch or Subscriber Backstretch Tailgating, Kingston Downs Race Course, Tower, Jockey House or Sponsor Hill areas as these spaces are reserved.
  • All attendees are responsible for disposing of their own trash – receptacles are placed throughout the property.
  • No commercial or political flags or signage are permitted.
  • All spectators must be off the grounds by 7PM.
  • The aisles between parking MUST remain clear for emergency safety.

POLICIES FOR RESERVED INFIELD HOMESTRETCH AND BACKSTRETCH TAILGATE SPACES

  • Hang your parking pass from your rear view mirror with the color coded side facing the windshield – must have a parking pass to enter the property.
  • Vehicles in reserved tailgate sections can be no larger than a mini-van, SUV or standard–sized pickup – spaces are 10′ wide by 20′ deep and only 1 vehicle per designated space allowed (additional parking in General Admission).
  • Must wear and be prepared to show arm bands/badges/official credentials at all times.
  • NO pets allowed except certified service dogs and approved groups.
  • Children 12 and under are free, but must be accompanied by adult.
  • No charcoal grills, propane grills, deep-fat fryers, open flames or ovens permitted by order of the Fire Marshall.
  • If using chaffing dishes and fuel for food preparation, patron MUST have a working fire extinguisher at the tailgate space.
  • NO HIGH PEAK Tents allowed and only one 10×10 tent per space (if no vehicles, two 10×10 tents or 1 20×20 allowed per space).
  • If utilizing a tent(s), patrons must have a tie-down plan in the event of high winds/severe weather to ensure the safety of your guests and those around you.
  • Access to ALL infield activities and food and beverage vendors.
  • NO access to Private Party Tents, Tower, Jockey House and Sponsor Hill areas as these spaces are reserved.
  • All attendees are responsible for disposing of their own trash – receptacles are placed throughout the property.
  • No political flags or signage are permitted.
  • All spectators must be off the grounds by 7PM.
  • The aisle between rows MUST remain clear for emergency safety.

POLICIES FOR GUARANTOR SPACES

  • Hang your parking pass from your rear view mirror with the color coded side facing the windshield – must have a parking pass to enter the property.
  • Vehicles in reserved tailgate sections can be no larger than a mini-van, SUV or standard–sized pickup – spaces are 10′ wide by 20′ deep and only 1 vehicle per designated space allowed (additional parking in Guarantor Lot).
  • Must wear and be prepared to show arm bands/badges/official credentials at all times.
  • Pre-Party Access from 11-1 – must show band/badge for entry and must  be 21+ with valid ID to consume alcoholic beverages.
  • NO pets allowed except certified service dogs and GSA approved groups.
  • Children 12 and under are free, but must be accompanied by adult.
  • No charcoal grills, propane grills, deep-fat fryers, open flames or ovens permitted by order of the Fire Marshall.
  • If using chaffing dishes and fuel for food preparation, patron MUST have a working fire extinguisher at the tailgate space.
  • NO HIGH PEAK Tents allowed and only one 10×10 tent per space (if no vehicles, two 10×10 tents or 1 20×20 allowed per space).

  • All spectators must be off the grounds by 7PM.
  • The aisle between rows MUST remain clear for emergency safety.

POLICIES FOR PREMIER LAWN BOXES

  • Hang your parking pass from your rear view mirror with the color coded side facing the windshield – must have a parking pass to enter the property.
  • Parking for Lawn Box patrons is VIP on Sponsor Hill.
  • Must wear and be prepared to show arm bands/badges/official credentials at all times.
  • NO pets allowed except certified service dogs and GSA approved groups.
  • Children 12 and under are free, but must be accompanied by adult.
  • No charcoal grills, propane grills, deep-fat fryers, open flames or ovens permitted by order of the Fire Marshall.
  • If using chaffing dishes and fuel for food preparation, patron must have a working fire extinguisher at the tailgate space.
  • NO Tents allowed.
  • Section A has Pre-Party access from 11-1 (sections B & C do NOT). Must be 21+ with valid ID to consume alcoholic beverages.
  • Access to ALL infield activities and food and beverage vendors.
  • NO access to Private Party Tents (other than Section A’s access to the Pre-Party from 11-1), Tower, Jockey House or barns as these spaces are private & reserved.
  • All attendees are responsible for disposing of their own trash – receptacles are placed throughout the property.
  • No political flags or signage are permitted.
  • All spectators must be off the grounds by 7PM.
  • The aisle between rows MUST remain clear for emergency safety.

TRANSPORTATION INFORMATION

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

  • General Admission ticket holders entering pedestrian gates are NOT permitted to bring alcohol, food, beverages, coolers, awnings, canopies, large or standing umbrellas, large bags or backpacks on to property.
  • Only reserved tailgate, premiere lawn box, corporate tents and registered caterers are permitted to bring alcohol to their location.
  • No glass with the exception of beer, wine and liquor bottles in approved areas – please utilize plastic when possible.
  • Visibly intoxicated and disorderly conduct attendees will not be tolerated and may be subject to ejection from the property by security.
  • No loud music.
  • No tailgating, food or alcohol consumption is permitted in General Admission parking areas.
  • For your safety and the safety of the horses, spectators are NOT allowed to touch the race horses at any time.
  • No one is permitted on the race course except at pedestrian crossing when allowed by gate attendants.
  • Must be 21+ with valid ID to purchase alcoholic beverages from our approved vendors.

ASSUMPTION OF RISK; LIABILITY; INDEMNITY: All sales final. Races run rain or shine. NO refunds, exchanges or credits. Except as otherwise stated, this is a personal REVOKABLE LICENSE, that entitles the bearer, herein known as LICENSEE, admission to and within certain areas of the Steeplechase Race Grounds, herein known as PROPERTY, only for the race date event, herein known as EVENT, as stated on this ticket/armband/badge. Licensee assumes all risk of personal injury to or for any damage to any loss of property of Licensee arising out of, during or related to the attendance of the event held on the property. Licensee acknowledges that Licensee will be exposed to certain risks of injury including but not limited to, incidents involving other Licensees who have consumed alcoholic beverages, injury from thrown objects, spills of food or beverages, the unruly behavior of other Licensee including but not limited to walking or running around the property where the ground may be uneven, the danger of sudden and unexpected lightning storms, high winds or loose tents. Additionally, Licensee may be exposed to or witness traumas related to significant human or equine injuries or even death, and the general risk associated with dangerous equestrian activities including but not limited to a loose horse within the property. Licensee agrees to indemnify and hold harmless for an act, or failure of an act of the Georgia Steeplechase, Inc., its employees or agents, the Board of Directors, the Race Committee and Officials, Race and Course Sponsors, Hospitality Hosts, the National Steeplechase Association, Stenanista LLC, and any respective officers, agents or employees from and against any claims, damages, actions, suits and expenses, including attorney’s fees and other costs arising out of or related to the event, the use of alcohol at the property by the Licensee, the conduct and behavior of the Licensee whether such claims are now existing or later arising, and whether or not such loss is alleged to be caused by the negligence of Georgia Steeplechase, Inc. its employees or agents, the Board of Directors, the Race Committee and Officials, Race and Course Sponsors, Hospitality Hosts, the National Steeplechase Association, Inc., Stenanista LLC and their participants or their agents.

USE OF IMAGE, VOICE AND OR LIKENESS GRANTED: The Licensee hereby grants permission to the Georgia Steeplechase the Licensee’s and its accompanied minors(s) for the use of its image, voice or likeness including any and all recorded images or likeness related to the event the may be filmed, videoed or photographed which may be used for any and all promotional purposes including but not limited to electronic television broadcast, internet and print media, and further waive all rights to any compensation, as a result of the use of the Licensee’s image, name or likeness being used in any way. Licensee also represents that it has legal capacity and authority to act for and on behalf of the accompanied minor and agree to indemnify and hold harmless the property for the use of the image.
